Giving Back

While there is no new news on the adoption front, I thought I would write a about an amazing experience our family had yesterday. There is a Syracuse Community Police Center on the corner of Park and Wolf run by an amazing Christian man named Officer Jim Clark.  For the past few years the kids and [...]

Addendum

After blogging last night, I thought about what I had said and it occurred to me that I neglected to mention another person who has and continues to bless our family.  We would not even be blogging if it weren’t for Pastor Chris, out of the blue, emailing us one night a couple weeks ago offering to [...]

Weekend Wrap Up

Well, all in all it was a good weekend where paperwork is concerned.  We received our passports in the mail (less than 2 weeks), we also received our fingerprint appointments for immigration, we have our appointment to have our lab results notarized and one more state background check has come through.  So far so good. A Moment of Reflection

Little Angels

We found out the name of the orphanage the boys are in, Petits Anges de Chantal (Little Angels of Chantal) in Port au Prince. Very cool to see that their names have been taken off the “available” list on the orphanage’s website. Today Julie has been blog stalking and has found out quite a bit [...]

The Seal

Yesterday we met with Homeland Security and it was a pretty simple process.  Paid Homeland Security fee for application and finger print fee ($990.00.) Will be notified by Homeland Security for an appointment to get electronic finger prints. Also applied for passports.  Note: Birth certificates need to have raised seal.  We had to go down [...]

Security Please!

We are scheduled for our Homeland Security interview tomorrow.  We are hoping to get our dossier completed by January 1, 2009.  However, have heard that the Homeland Security piece takes the most time.  We are hoping by filing our papers personally, we can eliminate the time it takes to process our application… Home Study is [...]
