This just came in from our adoption agency. Our boys are confirmed to have been in Les Cayes( which is approx. 2 hours west of PAP), praise God, but we have dear friends whose children are in PAP and need our continuos prayer.

To begin, the children in Cap Haitian and Les Caye/Chantal continue to do well. They will see an increase in food prices, but at this time and for the next while the supply will be there.

For our children in Carrefour, just a short bit ago Dr. Bernard, his wife Claudette and two Americans reached our kids! This is the first direct contact we have had with our US missionary, NLL staff and 49 babies since this terrible tragedy. Praise the Lord. I cannot tell you the flood of relief. They are currently working to get the children up to the guest house. Please pray it continues to hold strong. We now have good communication with the NLL crew as the Americans that are there have good cell phones. Our youngest baby, only 8 pounds at this time, was my biggest worry. Reports are she was held by the missionary the ENTIRE time and she and all others are doing just fine. Dr. Bernards staff stayed with the children. They didn’t even go home to check on their own families. They stayed to protect our babies. One risked his life by crawling back into the building to drag out mattresses and the little food he could find inside the crèche to help care for everyone. I don’t have words for my gratitude.

For our children at PAC/Port au Prince, I have not had any contact with Marie since yesterday morning. Believe me, I continue to try. She told me yesterday that they did have food and supplies for the children there for a few days so I know she will do everything to keep the kids safe. Marie is one of the most resourceful people I have ever met. I know she will take care of the children. When I do get ahold of her we have a couple of different options of where she can get the children so know that there are plans.

Many people are contacting us about ways to give. We are in process of getting a PayPal hooked up that will funnel money directly to our orphanage. We also support these two amazing ministries and have spoke of them often on this blog. We are confident 100% of all that is given goes directly to them.

No matter how or what you choose to do, PLEASE give!!!!!! The desperation we are reading from everyone there is unmistakable. So, give and pray, this we can all do.

Paul and I are in prayer that God will use us in whatever way he sees fit! We are not ruling out a trip over there in the future when and if we are needed. Right now we are trying to put a face to the tragedy by sharing our story.
