Who’s Really Helping?

I have hesitated to bring up this subject until I found this article that finally speaks out against UNICEF. I in no way would suggest to anyone who they support or where they give there money. Up until now I was COMPLETELY unaware of UNICEF’s agenda. Please take the time to read this article and then form your own opinion. Again, if you disagree that is your right, save the nasty comments and move on. I just know what I have seen and experienced. I know that today we found out our boys have parasites, amoebas AND worms. They have elevated lead levels and are anemic. I cannot conceive how anyone can say that they were better off in a Haitian orphanage and they were in a relatively GOOD O. People need to see that international adoption is not bad or good. There is bad and good in every situation including this subject. To condemn every orphan to life in an orphanage with no hope of a better life EVER is wrong! On the flip side to say that ALL impoverished children need to be taken from their country is also wrong. People, governments, and UNICEF need to be open to what is best in each individual situation.

It really gets to me when I look at my boys and how far they have come in the short time they have been here. To think that if UNICEF had their way, they would still be in Haiti. Still sick. Still malnourished. Still lacking the love and attention every child deserves. It boggles my mind.
